I recently moved to North Carolina, so the theme of my summer has been adapting to the hot weather! Coming from New York, this is a big change in weather, considering we normally spend much of our time with a cozy blanket.

While we want to be cool, we also prefer having a blanket on, whether we are lounging on the couch or sleeping.

I have put it through the wash with no problems. Since this is a lighter weight blanket, it doesn’t overfill the washer and is easy to run through the wash.

It also dries quickly, and has stood up well to washings, without pilling up.

I am generally a hot sleeper, and sometimes I wake up feeling sweaty or I have night sweats, and this blanket is a great option to have. The fabric makes me feel refreshed and cool, and I can help regulate my body temperature a little better when I use this. We also bring a blanket in the car on road trips, and this is a comfortable option. My daughter likes to use this in the car so we can run the AC and not be too hot, but she doesn’t feel chilly either.

This blanket is reversible – one side features Arc-Chill cooling fabric for summer. That side is a little smoother, with a shinier appearance and a slippery feel.

The other side is made from 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton for comfort the other seasons. I enjoy using this on the couch or if I take a nap. This side is a little softer and cozier.

Overall, this is a wonderful blanket for year round. We use it at night and also as a throw blanket. Whether you just want something comfy, or you struggle with hot flashes, this is a good option to have in your home.
