A visit to Medieval Times is more an entire experience! It isn’t just dinner – it is an adventure with knights, kings, and epic battles. In order to fully enjoy your medieval adventure, it is good to be prepared. Here are some tips to make the most of your visit to Medieval Times.

Arrive Early
Arriving at least 45 minutes before showtime gives you the chance to explore the castle before the tournament begins. Most shows are fully booked, and you will want to give yourself time to park, get in line, and get checked in. After that, you can have photos taken, check out the gift shop, get drinks, and settle in to your seats.
Dress the Part
You do not have to wear a costume to the show, but many guests dress up. You can also purchase accessories at the venue.

Enjoy the Feast
Medieval Times offers a four-course meal served without utensils. Consider yourself dining in the Middle Ages! The menu usually has a roast chicken, tomato bisque soup, garlic bread, corn, and dessert, but there are vegetarian and allergy-friendly options are available too. We are a vegetarian family, so it is nice that there are options.
Cheer for Your Knight
Each guest is assigned a knight based on their section, so get ready to cheer them on throughout the show. Be prepared to do some some cheering! There were a few times we got ‘caught’ not cheering enough from the front row, and our server called us out on it!

Capture the Memories
Take lots of photos! You may also want to consider purchasing some photos as a souvenir from your night.
Plan Ahead for Families
If you’re bringing kids, prepare them for the noise and excitement. There are lots of loud sounds and lights, so it is good to keep this in mind. If your child gets overstimulated or is sensitive to noise, you might want to consider sitting towards the back or using headphones.
They have one in Toronto. I attended several years ago with my family and really enjoyed it. The tomato bisque is really good!
This looks super fun. I need to get tickets for my family to attend, as they would love this.
I love going here. We’ve done it twice, and I want to do it again. It’s always the best time and the food isn’t bad.
Oh wow, that sounds like so much fun. We didn’t have the time to go to one last time we were in the US. OMG, served without utensils, I bet that was a messy meal. Sounds like there was plenty of food!
I have not been to one of these in forever. I love them so much and really have to take the time to find one near me for a visit as it is a fun time for sure. I remember my daughter when she was young being freaked out by what they cal the various food LOL….. like she believed it and it was so cute. Love the pictures so much!
Growing up, we had a Medieval Times in our town, even had high school friends work there, & I have never been to it! I’ve always wanted to because it seemed so cool. Thanks for the tips!
