I am always striving to be as eco-friendly as possible, and since having kids, it is equally important to me to use products that are eco-friendly and safe to use around my family. Between our pets, children, and ourselves, it can be tough to find products that have all the qualities I am looking for.

AGent+ Cleaner & Protectants is a line of eco-friendly cleaning products that cleans, eliminates odors, and more. This company is what I look for in a cleaning product – a safe product that is an effective cleaner, from cutting grease to sanitizing. AGent+ was created in 2011 due to a lack of safe cleaners on the market, and also a lack of products that offer lasting protection.

AGent+ products have an eco-friendly approach to packaging. Their products strive for less packaging, utilizing refills that allow for reusable packaging and reduction of fossil fuels in shipping.

I was excited to get started with our Agent+ cleaners, and setup is easy. The kit comes with a concentrate, and you simply mix that into the largest container with water.

Once you mix the concentrate, you can distribute the cleaner into the spray bottles provided, with plenty leftover for refilling as needed. There is a larger and smaller spray bottle to fit your needs. I find the larger one is perfect for around the house, and the smaller can be used at work, in the car, etc.

It is nice to deal with less packaging, and I pair the Agent+ products with other eco-friendly products, such as microfiber cloths.

I also have a large stash of reusable/washable rags and mop pads, so every time I use Agent+, I simply rinse the rag and toss it in the wash instead of any paper towels being used.

I am constantly trying to keep up with housecleaning, and Agent+ has been a welcome addition to my cleaning routine. Around the house, I use this for the surfaces that need frequent cleaning, like counters, door handles, railings, door knobs, etc.

The nice thing about Agent+ is that you can spray the multi-surface spray directly on porous surfaces. This means I can apply it items like carpeting, furniture, stuffed animals, etc. We have two cats, and it is nice that I can use Agent+ cleaners to clean things like cat furniture and other surfaces, and also not have to worry that this will make my pets sick.

This product has very little noticeable odor while I use it other than a light citrus scent. There are so many products that have a noxious chemical odor, or an overpowering synthetic fragrance, and it is nice to have something that has only a light scent.

Another unique quality of this product is that it has residual self-sanitation properties, meaning that it continues to protect surfaces. Natural ingredients like orange oils, silver and copper, create a protective layer for 24-72 hours depending on the surface. Between the kids and our pets, I appreciate the lasting antifungal properties of copper and natural antimicrobial properties of silver. I don’t think I have ever cleaned with something that continues to work after drying, and it is great added bonus when all of us, including our kids and pets, are coming in contact with so many surfaces.

Let’s talk bacteria. E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and MRSA. Independent lab test results show that Agent+ products killed over 99.9% of Covid strains. Going to work and school every day, it is nice to know that I am effectively killing germs on things from doorknobs to countertops.
