The Apple TV show “Severance” was released in 2022, but we only recently heard a lot of buzz about it and decided to watch the series. We learned that Severance was largely filmed at Bell Works, located in Holmdel, New Jersey. This is about 3 hours from us, so we thought it would be fun to go on a road trip to see it in person!

Check out Bell Works online at https://bell.works/new-jersey/explore/

There are no tours of the building, but we did see other people taking photos while they were there, so I am guessing there are many visitors to Bell Works.

We drove there from NY, and it is an easy drive. Bell Works is not far off the Garden State Parkway.

Bell Works is a multipurpose building, with offices, businesses, food, and even tenants. It is open to the public every day, so we decided to check it out on a recent Saturday in March 2025.

It was so fun to pull up to Bell Works through the distinctive traffic loops that go around the building.

One of our favorite parts of visiting was seeing the lobby, which is just as unique in person.

Bell Works has a very interesting interior, with unique designs, and it has such a distinct appearance.

Visitors can walk around inside the building, which is very large.

There are lots of places to sit, like these futuristic couches.

There are a variety of shops and services inside the building, from salons to food to doctors.

We had lunch at a pizza place, but there were other places to dine. We were there around noon on a Saturday, and not many of the food places were open, so it is possible that those places are open on weekdays.

After lunch, we enjoyed some ice cream.

There is an outdoor deck that overlooks a pond, and it has seating and even an outdoor restaurant (I did not get a photo, as there were a lot of people there).

We wanted to check out the Severed floor downstairs, but it was blocked off for a private event, so we walked around a little more before heading out. We only explored the ground level of the building, as well as the outdoor patio, which is connected to the ground floor.

You can also visit the transistor water tower, which you can see from Bell Works. You can get closer for a better view.

Because Bell Works is not far from the Garden State Parkway, we headed back out and went to IKEA (just over half an hour away in Elizabeth) and did some other fun things in NJ before heading home.
