Years ago, we took the kids to Disney on Ice. Every year, they talk about it and how much they want to go back! Disney on Ice brings Disney characters and stories to the ice. Last time we went, it was a whole different theme, and this year it was “Dare to Dream”, stories from several Disney princesses.
“Nothing can stop a princess from a courageous adventure when Disney On Ice presents Dare to Dream skates into to your hometown. Join your hosts Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse as they share the heroic stories of four of your favorite Disney Princesses. Laugh along with Disney’s hair-raising escapade, Tangled, as Rapunzel, Flynn and Maximus embark on an uproarious expedition that soars to new heights! Travel to the enchanted forest with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as she escapes from the Evil Queen. Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo! Watch as Cinderella’s dreams come true with a little help from her animal friends and the Fairy Godmother. Make memories your whole family will treasure for a lifetime, while dancing and singing along, as the Disney Princesses inspire you to Dream Big!”
The kids were excited for the show to start. They were excited to see familiar characters like Mickey and Minnie come out to kick off the show. After doing an energetic introduction, they moved into the story of Snow White. It is fun seeing the tale of Snow White come to life on the ice, as it is one of the older Disney movies that my kids are less familiar with, although they certainly know the story.
Cinderella was up next, and it was fun to see her step-sister’s antics and to see Cinderella make it to the ball in her glittery glass slippers.
Tangled is one of our favorite Disney movies, so we were happy to see this one at the show. This part of the performance ended with a beautiful lantern scene along with “I See the Light”.
The show closed with lots of Disney princesses, from Tiana to Jasmine to Mulan.
Disney on Ice is a great mix of stories, songs, music, dancing, characters, and more. It really is great for all ages and all of us had a fun night. We are already looking forward to going next time!
