Over the past couple of years, I have seen Book Nook kits become more popular. They are such a neat idea, with a miniature world that you can set on a shelf to enjoy. Book Nook World has dozens of kits to choose from, and I found myself going down a rabbit hole when I started browsing their website. Hobbins Hovel is such an adorable kit, I loved the woodland look and it just has a magical feel to it.

Hobbins Hovel is a cozy scene that you put together. I love the woodsy scene!
- A cozy round-door cottage beneath an ancient tree
- Light up the moon and cottage with a tap
- 216 pieces to build your woodland hideaway
- A dust-protected woodland display for your shelf
I felt a little intimidated starting the kit. There is a decent size instruction book and a ton of pieces. But we did it step by step and it was easy enough to follow along.

There are a variety of elements, like pieces that snap together, others need to be glued, and then things like moss that you drape over the trees.

One of the more challenging parts were the electrical wires that need to be fed through the parts of the base. I had to look at the instructions a bunch of times to figure it out, but it worked out fine.

The kit is neat because you assemble an indoor living room on the house, but it is really only something you peek into from a tiny window once the kit is finished.

When the living room and the lights are all set up, and the kit is complete, you can peek into the living room from the side or the tiny windows.

There is a lot of greenery in the kit, and it was neat to see the kit taking shape as the parts were added.

At the end of the kit, I draped moss over the tree branches and added the outside panels.

I love the final product, and it looks as good as the illustration on the box! You can also customize it a little bit by moving things around, adjusting greenery, adding or leaving out things like the mushrooms or bunnies, etc.

There are many book nooks to choose from on the website. I found myself on the site for quite some time, browsing between themes. The nice thing about the website is that it lists difficult, pieces, estimated length of time to complete the kit.
