I have always tried to be more eco-friendly in my life, seeking out natural products as part of a healthy and eco-conscious lifestyle. The Natracare brand was founded in 1989, and I remember seeing and using their products as a teen, and watching the brand grow over the years. I took environmental studies in high school and was learning about Rachel Carson’s fight for a better earth.

If you’re looking for natural products for yourself, or you have a daughter, this is a great brand to consider for a healthier lifestyle. It has always been important to me to raise healthy children and reduce their exposure to any kinds of chemicals.

We drive change to ensure access to organic, natural and sustainable period and personal care products by putting people and planet first.

I did not realize quite how much this brand had grown, and recently tried some of their products including some newer items to their line. I think of things like microplastics really being something that people are are aware of in the past few years, but Natracare has made healthy products a priority. In their product line, they avoid all fragrances, chlorine, dyes and pesticides.

The average period product is loaded with plastic. Choosing plastic free pads and tampons lets intimate skin breathe and cuts out plastic pollution.

Cotton is the most pesticide sprayed crop in the world. Using only 100% certified organic cotton means no chemicals and no toxic pesticides for your vagina or the planet.

Natracare offers a variety of products that covers your menstrual needs, like these ultra extra pads. It is no fun worrying about leaks or accidents, so when you need something to be there for heavier flow, this is a great option.

If you’re looking for natural products, this is such a wonderful line. And if you haven’t thought about how important it is to get natural products, think again. There are so many wonderful qualities about these products. I have a daughter, and it has always been important to me to reduce exposure to chemicals. I feel like things like menstrual care products are often overlooked. Looking at the box, you can see all of the great attributes this like of products has.

There are also regular pads, which are perfect for having on hand at all times. We keep these stocked up, because it is always important to have some pads on hand.

When it comes to tampons, there are so many reasons to think about what is in the products you purchase. Natracare has been thinking about this for decades, even though plastics and chemicals have been more recently highlighted in the news.

Plastic doesn’t belong in period products, especially in hidden forms like tampons. A recent study has found that around 17 billion nanoplastics are shed per tampon during use1. At Natracare we’ve been shedding light on the issue of tampon fibre loss since the 1990s.

I was thrilled to find that Natracare has Makeup Removal Wipes! I struggle with removing my makeup, but soapy washcloths can be a hassle. When I read the ingredients on most makeup wipes, I am dismayed to see all the chemicals in them, and the times that I have tried them, I find that my skin feels a little raw.

These cleansing wipes work great, and are free from parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), methylisothiazolinone (MIT), and synthetic fragrances or preservatives. Those are my top concerns when I buy any kind of product that I use on my skin. In addition, it is nice not to have something that is overly loaded with any kind of fragrance. Plus – these are compostable!

Natracare also makes these flushable moist tissues, which are a great part of a hygiene routine. These are also free of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Parabens or Methylisothiazolinone (MIT), and are unscented. They are safe for sensitive skin, and are safe for plumbing.

Intimate wipes are useful to have. This can be a great tool if you have a daughter, where wipes can be an easy way to help with hygiene especially during menstruation. This is a helpful product to have on hand, and I love the convenience. No Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Parabens or Methylisothiazolinone (MIT).
