Buckingham Lake is a nice park area located within Albany. We brought our kids to the playground there, and to see the lake. We have also been there to take a short walk around the lake.

This is a residential area, and only a couple blocks from Western Ave.

The lake is easy to find using Google Maps.

There is a small parking lot at the lake, but you can also find parking on the streets nearby.

There is a playground area for younger kids (ages 2-5) (to the right in the picture below, but I did not want to take a picture when there were kids there).

The trail around the lake is 0.78 miles. It is a quick walk, and nice to stroll around the lake.

The walk is relaxing, and there are spots to stop and sit or picnic.

This is a decent spot to check out if you have kids or you’re looking for a quick walk towards the downtown Albany area.
