On a recent trip to Florida, we had a day to spare before heading out on our flight, so we decided to check out Flamingo Gardens in Sunrise, Florida. This is a combination of gardens and wildlifed

I booked tickets online before going so that we had a reservation in place.

The gardens are easy to find, and we scanned our tickets and were given a map before heading out to explore the property.

There is a nice parking lot and entry way.

There is quite a bit to explore between the gardens, animals, and exhibits. There are 60 acres of animals, plants, and more.

We wandered the grounds, enjoying the scenery. The grounds are very clean and well-maintained.

I loved seeing these beautiful orchids.

There are of course, flamingos at the gardens. It was beautiful to see them.

We also got to see a armadillo roaming the gardens! How cool to see an armadillo in the wild!

There are so many different animals and displays to see.

There are peacocks and other animals roaming the property, which gives it a nice atmosphere.

We were able to see a show at Flamingo Gardens, and got to learn about a variety of animals. The staff was very enthusiastic and the show was also very educational.

We boarded the comfortable tram to explore the rest of the grounds, which are also beautiful. There are a couple stops along the way.

The trees are so pretty, and I really enjoyed the ride.

We stopped at a greenhouse to see a variety of plants and butterflies.

There is a gift shop at Flamingo Gardens. It is great for a souvenir to remember your visit there, as well as some cute gifts.

We found our time at Flamingo Gardens to be very relaxing. We went at our own pace and finished our time there on the tram ride.

There is a food place if you want something to eat or drink, and plenty of bathrooms. There were lots of families with younger children, and it was definitely family friendly.
