We have enjoyed matcha for many years, from making it at home to enjoying matcha drinks from restaurants. More recently, my teens have enjoyed making matcha at home, and it is nice to try making some homemade versions.

I love matcha and its health benefits, so it was neat to learn that the Matcha.com company was founded by Andrew Weil and André Fasciola. As a health enthusiast, I am familiar with Dr. Weil, and it is good to know that this company was part of his dedication to natural health.

André and Dr. Weil founded MatchaKari, to deliver health-centric, high-quality Japanese matcha green tea. Co-creating MatchaKari was just a natural progression of their 20-year friendship — a bond forged with a shared vision of the delivery of healthy alternatives to mainstream coffee and sugary drinks.

We were excited to try matcha from Matcha.com.

Our is one of the finest organic ceremonial grade matcha green tea powder available. Excellent grade of drinking matcha.

It was carefully selected for its sweet, rich flavor as well as deep natural green color. It’s best enjoyed as a drinking matcha. It’s also ideal for a latte, or in a drink recipe of your choice. This is one of our best ceremonial grades of organic matcha green tea.

The container came very carefully packaged.

We were pleased to see how well this was sealed for freshness.

Inside of the can is a foil bag.

Look at that bright green color! So fresh and aromatic, and flavorful too.

There is a whole booklet about matcha and how to prepare matcha.

It is helpful to know about the proper way to prepare matcha, instead of just mixing it in a drink.

We already had a whisk that we have used before, so we were able to prepare it the traditional way.

We have used our set many times to prepare this matcha.

We make a variety of drinks; usually hot or iced matcha. We also like to add flavorings.

You can check the matcha.com website for ideas, as they have a multitude of recipes to try out, like this pumpkin spice matcha.

There are many products and accessories at matcha.com, so if you are shopping for yourself or for a gift, this is the perfect spot to check out.

The matcha starter kit is just one of the few items on matcha.com!
