I live in the Capital Region and have heard about the garlic festival for many years, but only made it there this fall (September 27-28, 2025). I bought tickets ahead of time, and I believe they were $15 in advance and $20 at the ticket booth.
The festival is located in Saugerties, NY. I put in the address into Google Maps, but when we got off the exit, there were signs that re-routed us all around the town, so be prepared for a little bit of a longer drive.
The website gives the address for Cantine Memorial Complex, Saugerties, NY 12477, USA
Once we got close to the parking areas, there was $10 parking for the lots at the festival, or you could park further for free. It was a hot day and I didn’t want to deal with walking far to the festival, so we paid for parking.
The festival is way bigger than I had anticipated. I thought it would be a few dozen tents, but the place was packed, with probably hundreds of vendors.
There were quite a few types of vendors at the festival – food, garlic merchandise, and then crafts or other merchandise. Of course, there is lots of garlic for sale as well.
We bought some garlic food products, like fire cider and pickled items. There are some interesting items for sale, like garlic jam.
I bought some fire cider and elderberry syrup.
There were so many food vendors. Much of this was typical fair food, like gyros, fries, etc.
Be prepared to pay a lot for food, as the prices are high (like they would be at fairs).
There were a variety of foods including garlic, like garlic ice cream, fries with garlic aoli, brussels sprouts with garlic aoli, and even a garlic latte.
This specialty garlic latte was $8.
The brussels sprouts with garlic aoli was fantastic! The bowl cost $14.
There is also a craft section at the fair, with everything from shirts to candles and other items.
Overall, there was a lot to see there. I would bring a bag to carry things, and your appetite!
