Our favourite thing about the holiday season is that we get to break out in style and get all glamourous. Whether it’s lace, mesh, sequins, feathers, knit, glitter—just to name a few—we all definitely want some added drama to our festival outfits this holly jolly time of the year. While we might prefer to get cosy and lounge around in our jumpers and goofy Santa sweaters, it’s also time to bring out the holiday cheer with these gorgeous festival outfits. Let’s round them up. . .
- A little white dress – We’re all familiar with the LBD or little black dress, but this Christmas season, opt for something brighter to welcome 2025 with a gorgeous little white dress. Choose a dress with a layered ruffled skirt like the Pippa Dress in bright white, and you’ll surely bring that holiday party to quite a stop. Pair this with gold wedge sandals, cute earrings, and perhaps a brown leather coat to complete the look. You can also pair this with a nice pair of knee-high boots or thigh-high mesh glitter boots to really look like a supermodel while toting your toddlers to that holiday family reunion.
- A bright pink dress – Nothing quite says sexy and flirty like a cute pink dress. It’s fun, festive, and you can still wear this all year long, not just during the Christmas season. It’s great for attending music festivals, art shows, high school party reunions, or even just a casual Friday night date with your husband. Choose a pink dress with a flattering cut and perhaps a fun skirt like a layered pattern, flares, or ruffles. These features will definitely flatter your body regardless of your body shape, i.e., hourglass, pear-shaped, lean, curvy, extremely curvy, etc.
- A patterned maxi dress – Maxi dresses are the new jumpsuits, meaning they are great for every occasion because you can just dress them up, or down, depending on the event. For a holiday party, choose accessories that are elegant, like layered gold necklaces or diamond earrings, to elevate the look of your cutout maxi dress. For casual Sunday barbecues, pair your dress with flat sandals and chunky earrings to transform it into a boho vibe. Really, maxi dresses are absolutely versatile and a definite must-have for your holiday closet. In fact, they’re a must-have for your year-round closet.
- A mesh skirt – If you’re feeling a little extra glamorous, choose a skirt with a mesh overlay that will elevate your outfit from drab to fab in just seconds. A skirt in a burgundy colour is great for this holiday season. You can pair it with knit jumpers, a turtleneck, or a glittery top to complete your party look. You can even wear this skirt for a New Year’s Eve party by simply wearing it with a sequined crop top, sparkly earrings, and sky high heels. After all, it’s not every day you get to bring out your A-game when it comes to holiday wear.
Just because we’re mums with toddlers tailing our every move doesn’t mean we should dress like a hobo, especially around the holidays and during festival season. Go ahead and shop for the best outfits that say va-va-voom or, rather, va-va-Mum!
