When it comes to domestic travel, having the right accessories can make your journey more comfortable, efficient, and enjoyable. Here are some of my favorite accessories that help with my time traveling.

Portable Charger & Charging Station
A reliable portable charger is a must-have for keeping your devices powered on the go. I bring a variety of devices with me when I travel, so a good charger or even a charging station is important. I like to bring my phone, apple watch, and wireless earbuds, so be sure to have a good way to keep those charged.
Travel Pillow or Neck Pillow
A good travel or neck pillow can make a world of difference on long flights, car rides, or train journeys. Look for a memory foam or inflatable pillow that provides adequate neck support and comfort. I am often tired when I travel, so it is good to be able to recharge when I can.
Reusable Water Bottle
Brining a good reusable water bottle is an eco-friendly way to keep water handy. This also helps to save money if you are able to refill your bottle regularly. I bring my empty water bottle to the airport, and use refilling stations, instead of having to pay for over priced bottled water.
Packing Cubes
Packing cubes are a game-changer for staying organized. I categorize my clothing into different cubes, such as pants, shirts, and socks/underwear. I also do this for the kids, and I make other cubes as needed, such as swimwear and towels.
Ear Buds or Noise-Canceling Headphones
Noise-canceling headphones or airpods are perfect for blocking out ambient noise on planes, trains, or buses, allowing you to relax, listen to music, or watch movies in peace. They are also great for maintaining focus if you need to work during your trip.
Travel-Size Toiletries
Invest in travel-size toiletries to save space and comply with TSA regulations. Look for eco-friendly, refillable containers that you can fill with your favorite products. A compact toiletry bag with clear pockets can keep everything organized and easily accessible.
Lightweight Backpack / Tote
A lightweight, durable backpack is ideal for carrying your essentials during day trips or as a personal item on flights. Choose one with multiple compartments and padded straps for comfort and convenience.
Travel Wallet / Belt Bag
A travel wallet helps you keep all your important documents, cards, and cash in one place. Look for one with RFID protection to safeguard against electronic theft, and make sure it has enough pockets to organize your passport, boarding passes, and other essentials.
Comfortable Footwear
Having the right shoes is essential for travel. Look for comfortable, versatile footwear that can handle different activities, from walking tours to dining out. A pair of supportive sneakers and stylish flats or sandals are usually a good combination.
Travel Blanket
A lightweight, compact travel blanket is great for staying warm on planes or during unexpected chilly moments. Some travel blankets double as scarves or wraps, making them versatile and stylish accessories.
Lip balm / gum / mints / meds
Keep some small comfort items in your bag at all times. I always keep pain reliever in my bag for headaches, mints, gum, or tic tacs for those times I get hangry or want something for my breath, and lip balm for dry airplane flights or too much sun.
I always keep a reusable water bottle with me. It helps me stay hydrated on the go, and it’s so much better for the planet than all that wasted plastic.
What a great list! I have many of these items as well, but I need to look into some of those packing cubes. Thanks for sharing all of these great travel products.
Comfortable shoes, bag, necessary accessories per travelled climate are some of my must-haves. Great post to remind and be thankful for all we have.
Amazing tips, thanks a lot. I will save this as a reminder. The travel blanket is a must have for sure…
These are all great staples to keep at home ready for a holiday! I really rate packing cubes. They are a great investment and work so well to keep things separated in the case. Great post!
Traveling does take a lot of planning! I do not take neck pillows with me as they aren’t worth the space, but otherwise this is my top list.
I agree that having the right accessories can make a huge difference in your travel experience.
