I love the scent of lavender, and also enjoy it in tea. A couple years ago, we had the chance to visit Lavendair, a lavender farm. It was an awesome experience!

We had a lovely time cutting lavender, and learning about different types of lavender, including culinary versus others. Lavenlair had many varieties to see and smell, and of course bring home too.

I have made my own lavender tea before, but in the middle of a cold New England winter, I tend to look for different kinds of warm drinks to enjoy.
Lavender lattes are easy to make. You will need:
~ lavender for tea, or lavender tea bags ~ Sweetener ~ Milk
Start by steeping a cup of lavender tea.
I use my loose lavender buds in a tea bag, but you can find prepackaged tea bags.
Add in your sweetener, such as honey or sugar.
Keep in mind that the tea will not have a purple color to it.
Add in 1/2 cup frothed milk.
Instead of traditionally frothing milk, I heat the milk and used a cheap milk frother from Amazon.

Wow! This is informative! I did not know there were different types of lavenders. As a tea and lavender lover I am looking forward to learning more about the different lavenders.
This looks amazing. I’ve been going back and forth on getting a cheap milk frother. We have an espresso machine. But, I’ve been making tea lattes more this winter. I’m thinking this post just gave me the last bit of encouragement I need to purchase one.

We went to a lavender farm last year and it was so beautiful and calming! I love this recipe!
I would love to try this. I haven’t really tried lavender on my tea but with the benefits — it is definitely worth doing. Thank you for managing my expectation that it won’t turn violet.
