I love making matcha lattes, and we also love hot cocoa… so I thought why not combine the two! This is a lovely drink that is pretty, too! And it is very easy to make – just about as long as it takes to make a cup of hot cocoa.
All you need is white hot chocolate mix, and matcha powder.
To make your drink, measure out the hot cocoa powder and a teaspoon of matcha powder.
Add hot water and whisk the cocoa and matcha together. I have a milk frother, so I use that. Whisk until the ingredients are thoroughly blended without any chunks.
This is a cozy drink to enjoy especially in the wintertime. So quick and easy to make and it’s nice to have a dash of matcha for some energy and health benefits, too.
I’ve never tried Matcha – probably the only person not too. This looks delicious though. I think I have to give it a go.
OH! I never thought of putting matcha in hot chocolate. Sounds delicious.
I will need to find out the benefits of matcha! I’m intrigued!
Very pretty indeed! I bet it would be perfect for a St. Patrick’s Day warm-up, too. It is often so cold and windy near us around that holiday!
this looks so festive for st.patty’s day. I gotta try this
I love matcha tea, but never mix it with my hot chocolate. This might be something I want to give a try. Thank you for sharing.

I have never had matcha. I need to try it.
My sister gave me some matcha powder and I am running out of ideas where to use it. Thank you for sharing this brilliant idea. I had no idea it mixes well with white chocolate. Can’t wait to try it.
