This summer I took my girls peach picking for the first time. I hadn’t been peach picking since I was a kid, and we pick fruit all the time. I had heard that Bowman had some nice peaches and we decided to check it out.
We got to Bowman Orchards with no problems using Google Maps.
There is a large parking lot and we headed to the shop to get information about peach picking.
There are a variety of things for sale, and you pay before heading out to pick. There was a $2 entry fee per person to go out to the fields, and when you are done picking, you come back in to get your fruit weighed.
The trolley was very convenient, especially on such a hot day. It was sturdy with a gate on the back, which is nice especially for those with younger kids. The trolley was pulled by a vehicle that did not emit a diesel smell either – we have gone to many places where we are engulfed in the smell of diesel from sitting behind an old tractor. The driver dropped us off at the peaches and continued to drop others off at other stops in the orchard.
The peaches were beautiful and plentiful.
If they lasted a little longer, I would have picked more! But they were just amazing and delicious.
So fuzzy and perfect!
Back at the store, we paid for our peaches, which are weighed.
We enjoyed our fresh peaches, and look forward to going back again to pick other fruit as well.
I love pick your own orchards like this!
This place is amazing! Peaches are my favourites
Those peaches look beautiful, definitely a place worth a visit.
I like the idea. Peaches orchard is a nice and interesting place to connect with nature and to travel with children.
