2022 update: we have been to Bowman for the past 3 years and have enjoyed it each time. This post is not sponsored.
This summer I took my girls peach picking for the first time. I hadn’t been peach picking since I was a kid, and we pick fruit all the time. I had heard that Bowman had some nice peaches and we decided to check it out.
We found Bowman Orchards with no problems using Google Maps.
There is a nice big sign out front to welcome you to the orchards.
There is a large parking lot to park near the shop.
When we went in late summer 2021, there was a drive-through area where we could pay and drive over to the orchard. The staff was very knowledgeable about all the crops and how much everything cost, and it was nice to be able to pay and drive right over.
There are a variety of things for sale in the farm shop, and there is also a food service window.
The trolley was very convenient, especially on such a hot day. It was sturdy with a gate on the back, which is nice especially for those with younger kids. The trolley was pulled by a vehicle that did not emit a diesel smell either – we have gone to many places where we are engulfed in the smell of diesel from sitting behind an old tractor. The driver dropped us off at the peaches and continued to drop others off at other stops in the orchard.
The peaches were beautiful and plentiful.
If they lasted a little longer, I would have picked more! But they were just amazing and delicious.
So fuzzy and perfect!
We also picked some berries, including blackberries. We had literally never seen such big blackberries before!
We enjoyed some cold snacks at the food shop.
We enjoyed our fresh fruit, and look forward to going back again as a yearly tradition.
