When we planned our trip to Mexico, we wanted to start off with one night in Cancun so that it would be convenient and near the airport. The Fiesta Americana Villas Cancun is located on the hotel strip in Cancun and is easy to get to.
We arrived at the Cancun airport, took a shuttle to get our rental car, and headed to the hotel. Google Maps guided us there, but it is fairly easy to get there by following the signs for the Cancun hotel zone.
There is a small parking lot, which is manned by an attendant, so you have to check in and out. It was nice because we felt the car was secure (although we generally didn’t leave any valuables in the car if possible during our travels in Mexico).
I would say the room is standard, and had the amenities we needed. It also had a sink and some dishes, which was nice. And the view from our balcony – amazing!
The hotel is very pretty, with a nice architectural design and atmosphere. It has pools and a beach, restaurants on site, a gift shop, and more.
The pools were a lot of fun, with a jacuzzi in the middle and a kiddie pool at the end. While the pools weren’t massive, they are very nice.
The beach is nice, with crystal water and a great view out to the rest of the hotel zone and ocean.
The kids were able to go swimming off the beach, and enjoyed seeing some fish. There was plenty of shade, chairs, and towels for guests.
My daughter even found a sea urchin (which we carefully returned to where we found it).
The Fiesta Americana is conveniently located on the hotel strip amongst a variety of restaurants and stores. We were able to walk with our kids to a restaurant, get some souvenirs, and we also shopped at Chedraui, which is a very large supermarket (like a super Walmart). Since we were going on a road trip from the Fiesta Americana, it was a perfect opportunity to grab some breakfast foods, snacks, and drinks.
This hotel is located at Km. 8.5, Blvd. Kukulcan Lt3, Zona Hotelera, 77500 Cancún, Q.R.
(not to be confused with the Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancún All Inclusive, also located on the Cancun hotel strip).
