My kids love all things swimming, and we had heard about Zoom Flume for years. We found a discount on tickets, and decided we would check it out. Zoom Flume is located south of the Albany area, and Google Maps took us right to the park.
We visited on a Sunday, and had no problem parking there. We are used to big waterparks, so it was a treat to be able to park in the parking lot across the street and walk over to the entrance. There was a very short line at 10am, and we headed into the park.
We got to the park right when they opened. You can buy the tickets there, or purchase tickets online. There are a variety of water activities, from slides to raft rides, a lazy river, wave pool, and more.
There were plenty of chairs to choose from in the morning, so it would be a good time to set up. There are also cabanas available to rent around the park for an additional price.
The kids absolutely loved the wave pool, and I think it was their favorite part of the park. It goes on every 10 minutes, and they had a blast in the waves.
There are plenty of options for smaller children, like this “beach” that is very kid-friendly for the littler ones.
There is another pool type area in the front of the park where the kids hung out for a while.
There are a bunch of slides, including this really tall one!
We got to see an Xpogo show at the park (seriously extreme Pogo!), and there are a variety of shows throughout the summer. They also had a hula hoop contest and some other fun things for kids.
There are bathrooms around the park, which seemed well-maintained.
There are foods available for purchase on the property, like pizza and snacks. One of the nice things is that you can bring your own food into the park, but check online about the rules (like no “restaurant foods”, and the cooler has to be a certain size). As a parent of a child with a food allergy, this was very much appreciated.
While this was smaller than other outdoor water parks we have been to, it was a nice experience. The park was clean and seemed well-maintained, and it was nice to be able to park across the street and not have to walk far, and also to be able to bring in some of our own food. My kids enjoyed Zoom Flume, but I would say this is probably best for younger kids in general.

This sounds like a fun place for the family to go to cool off on a hot day. It is great they allow outside foods in, it saves money plus it is great as far as food allergies go.
