This is an easy way to use fresh thyme from the garden, but you can also use dried thyme.  I am always looking for ways to use my herbs while they are fresh, and this recipe is so easy.  My kids also love this noodle recipe, and it is so quick to prepare when we are busy.  I find that I make this recipe a lot in the summertime, when my thyme is fresh and growing, but I also like to make it in the colder months with dried thyme.

Thyme

Ingredients:

12oz bag of egg noodles

4 tablespoons of butter

Thyme

Salt

Directions:

Cook noodles according to package.  I prefer egg noodles for this recipe, but you can use other types of pasta if desired, or if that is what you have on hand.

While the noodles are cooking, if you are using fresh thyme, wash and remove the leaves from the stems.

Fresh Thyme

When the noodles are done, drain and then toss with butter and thyme.  I like to use a lot of thyme, so it is really up to your personal preference as far as how much you want to add!

Salt to taste.

Enjoy!
