Lack of sleep has an extremely negative impact on your mental health. It gradually takes a toll on you and disrupts your daytime productivity and energy. The very first step to limiting stress in your life or enhancing your stress management is to get at least 7 hours of sleep daily. It is very important for the human brain to recharge itself whilst sleeping. 

For your kids, it is extremely crucial that you set a bedtime routine as early as possible. Once they develop a habit of sleeping on time, from the early days, they will definitely keep up with the habit later on. 

  1. Boost Physical Activity:

The biggest dilemma for children these days is that they have largely restricted themselves to smartphones. They prefer playing games online instead of going for a walk. 

Physical activity boosts the production of happy hormones in the human body. It reduces stress hormones and makes you feel better. Whether for yourself or for your kids; it is crucial that you add different forms of physical activities in your routine. 

Connect with your children and go out with them for running, jogging, yoga, or any other form of exercise.

The good fact about the modern world is that it is consciously realizing its problems and is working towards their betterment. As the number of youngsters with anxiety and depression has significantly increased, many mental health awareness seminars are now being held by professionals. They teach children resilience and other coping factors that can help them in keeping up with the fast-paced world, without feeling anxious or stressed. It is great to attend these seminars and be a part of positive discussions. They leave a wonderful impact on the human mind and help you raise confident kids

Journaling is a wonderful habit for a positive mindset. It helps you assess your mental health and track your progress. It further aids in finding the root cause of anxiety or trouble. Remember that stress cannot be avoided. However, it can be managed better. And writing down your problems or making a gratitude list every day, can help you largely in reducing stress and managing it well too. 

  1. Practice Gratitude and Volunteering:

Make an effort to instill gratitude in your kids. Children who are always anxious usually have materialistic reasons too. Thus, gratitude can help kids stay grounded. Likewise, volunteering for community work, once in a while can have a positive impact on one’s mental health. It diverts your mind from your problems and allows you to focus on the problems others are bearing too. This further boosts your practice of gratitude.
