A strong immune system is essential for good health, and it is important to protect and boost your immune system on a regular basis. Looking after your immune system improves your chances of being able to successfully fight off germs. If you’re looking for ways to boost your immune system, there are some key things that you should be doing.

Get Enough Sleep:

When you’re not getting enough sleep, your immune system will suffer. Sleep is crucial for your body to repair and strengthen itself and while we’re living in worrying times, tossing and turning in bed all night isn’t going to do much for your health. The good news is that even if you are feeling anxious, there are things that you can do to make sure that you get a better night’s sleep every night. And, not only will it improve your physical health, but also your mental health. Getting enough sleep gives your brain a chance to rest and repair itself, better equipping you to deal with stress and worry throughout the day. Make sure you have a good mattress that is comfortable. A good sleep routine is also important, such as less screen time before bed. You can also look into natural sleep aids, such as a hot shower before bed, chamomile tea, magnesium supplements, or one of my favorites, Mary Ruth’s Nighttime Multimineral.

Eat Healthy:

Focus on eating a well balanced, healthy diet. Try cooking some new healthy meals. There are loads of different ideas that you can try which are easy and cheap to make, and very filling too. Curries, stews, or even pasta with a vegetable-laden sauce are all great ideas.

Exercise More:

Getting some physical exercise is important, from a daily walk to hitting the gym. If you don’t want to leave the house if you can help it, there are plenty of exercise ideas that you can do from home – even walking up and down your stairs can be a great way to get moving and get your heart racing! Check out YouTube; loads of personal trainers are making home workout videos at the moment, which you can follow.

Try Health Supplements

Getting enough vitamins is crucial for keeping your immune system in good shape, and you can mainly get these from your food. Vitamin C, in particular, is a powerful antioxidant that has a very beneficial effect on the immune system. You can get it from a variety of foods, including kiwi, red pepper, oranges, cooked broccoli, strawberries, tomatoes and cantaloupe. And, Vitamin D is another essential vitamin that you might be lacking in if you’re not going outside, as we get it from the sun. If you don’t want to leave your home, make sure that you keep your curtains open to let some sunshine in, and there’s nothing wrong with spending some time in your garden or back yard.

There are other immune support supplements, such as echinacea, elderberry, and more.
