My kids aren’t much into LEGOs the past couple of years, but the LEGO Americana Roadshow caught my eye. This is a free exhibit, and is located at Crossgates Mall in Albany, New York from February 9-24, 2019, and the exhibit will continue to other locations afterwards.
The LEGO Americana Roadshow features 10 large-scale replicas, including famous landmarks like The White House, U.S. Capitol, The Statue of Liberty, The Liberty Bell, and The Lincoln Memorial. There are also other structures featured in the roadshow.
The most impressive, largest LEGO construction was definitely the U.S. Capitol Building. This piece is quite massive, and you can only imagine all the time and work put into creating this model.
While the structures can be impressive in size, the details are also impressive, down to the little sculptures on the front of the buildings.
Another large LEGO construction was a replica of the Washington Monument.
There were 15 main attractions for the LEGO Roadshow.
In addition to the iconic structures, there were other LEGO scenes, like a Disney castle (featured right outside the Disney Store!), and a small replica of a mall.
There was also a play space set up with legos and fun projects.
We visited the MVP Healthcare tables as well by the play area, and even got some free bags to color.
I couldn’t find a website for the LEGO Americana Roadshow, but it will be featured in other cities as well. If you can’t find any website information, check out Facebook too, as the hosts for the roadshow may have event postings.
Wow that’s impressive. It takes me much patience and time to do one little box set of legos
I am a Lego fan. This exhibit is super cool!
