Wagner’s Black Oil Sunflower Seed from Chewy.com

I received this product in exchange for my honest review as a Chewy Influencer.

We enjoy feeding our backyard birds and seeing a variety of different birds. One of the bird foods that always seem to be a hit is black oil sunflower seed. It was a treat to order this from Chewy.com, which shipped this 20 lb bag of Wagner’s Black Oil Sunflower Seed right to our door along with our other pet supplies. Chewy.com carries lots of great wild bird food in addition to all their other pet products, and it makes it convenient to shop for so much in one place.

Wagner’s Black Oil Sunflower Seeds are a hit with the birds (and sorry to say, the squirrels love it, too!). The shells can be a little messy, but I still prefer this over a lot of other birdseed that has actual seeds, which is also messy.

You can find lots of info about how to use this product on Chewy.com and on the back of the bag. Black oil sunflower seeds are a versatile bird food that are easy to use, whether you use it in a feeder or even on the ground. I love how “news travels fast” when we put out a good bird food like this, and the birds will flock to our feeders.

“Try out a bag of Wagner’s Four Season 100% Black Oil Sunflower Seed Wild Bird Food and you’ll have nearby fellow birders wondering where all the songbirds went. They’ll have to come watch them in your yard, because these black oil sunflower seeds have a taste most wild birds love and a thin shell that makes it easy for them to consume. This gourmet seed is high in energy and can be used to fill tube, hopper or tray feeders to attract cardinals, finches, chickadees, nuthatches, woodpeckers and many more.”

We have been feeding the birds over the years, and our kids (and of course the cats!) have enjoyed birdwatching. This is a great quality bird food, and as a busy mom I love the convenience of having this delivered from Chewy.com. It’s great to come home to work and have our supplies delivered right to the door, from cat litter to birdseed. Also a great option for the elderly who may have difficulty getting heaving bags home from the store.

I love birds! We live in Florida and we see all kinds of birds in and from our backyard, mostly herons, anhinga, hawks, eagles, doves, egrets, storks, etc. but we do see some smaller birds too. We don’t have a lot of mature trees where we live because we moved into a somewhat newer planned neighborhood when we moved here 5 years ago. But I would love to try out one of those birdhouses and the seed and see what kinds of birds might visit. We do see a lot of cardinals in Florida, I just don’t see them in my yard usually. We do see hummingbirds when the spring and summer flowers bloom, love them:) Thanks for sharing this info!

I love how it explains in pictures the types of feeders to use this in. I’m sure the birds will be very happy.

Thank you for the review. Bird watching is one of my son’s favorite activities. I also didn’t know that Chewy.com delivered things like wild bird feed. Good to know!

This is quite interesting! I honestly know nothing about birds but my husband loves watching them along with our toddlers!
