I still remember hearing the Okee Dokee Brothers for the first time, with their Mississippi River Adventure Album. Since then, we have followed their award-winning albums as they explore the Appalachians and the West, so I was excited to see a Winterland album this Fall.

I received this CD in exchange for my honest review.

The Okee Dokee Brothers Winterland CD

Like the previous albums from the Okee Dokee Brothers, this album is about the great outdoors.  But this time, Winterland celebrates all the wonderful things about winter.  If you aren’t familiar with the Okee Dokee Brothers, they really experience adventures as part of inspiration for their music, which you can see in their music videos.

The Okee Dokee Brothers have a wonderful sound.  Their music is original and inspired by nature itself, and they have a great folk style that is very nice to listen to.  This is one of those albums the whole family can enjoy together.

I live in Upstate New York, and we have long winters, so I can relate to Winterland!  I love how positive this album is, really highlighting the great things about nature, winter, snow, and even the cold.  I have to say that I am used to hearing people complaining about winter, and “Winterland” is such a feel good album – perfect for year round or enjoying as you stay warm inside!

Check out “Blankets of Snow” here. I love that they really experience the adventures they write about, as inspiration for their music.
