Bug Tent

I received this product in exchange for my honest review.

We are so excited for the weather to warm up, since we have had a long, cold winter here in Upstate New York.  However, the one thing that the kids say when it comes to warmer weather is that they aren’t looking forward to the bugs!  We like to get outdoors a lot, but it is tough to contend with the insects, whether we are in the backyard or at a campground.

I have been thinking about getting a bug proof screen tent for years, so I was excited when our tent arrived in the mail.

RORAIMA Bug Proof Canopy Shelter Screen Tent

The shelter is small in size, so it fits easy on a shelf in the garage, in the car to go camping, etc.  It is 20 lbs, so you wouldn’t want to backpack with this, but it is worth having on hand to keep from being eaten by bugs!

Setup is easy.  You start by placing three poles in the sleeves across the top of the tent.

Next, you place four poles along the sides of the tent.  It is lightweight, so I recommend staking it down just like you would with any other tent.

The shelter measures 13 feet x 9 feet x 6.9 feet, so there is plenty of room to set up inside with chairs and even a table.  This is not like a camping tent, and does not have a floor – but that works to our advantage, since you can set this up over a picnic table at a campground or even over a patio set.
