Aveda EANY Catwalk for Water

This weekend is the Catwalk for Water, a fundraiser put on by local Aveda salon stylists that raises money for clean water.  Proceeds for this great cause go to the Environmental Advocates of New York, a non-profit charity.

This year’s Catwalk for Water is the first multi-salon version of the event, with numerous salons participating.

Salons will be showcasing their creative skills on the green carpet in hair, makeup, and fashion.  Because the event has an environmental theme, teams will be embracing the earth as their inspiration, using recycled and repurposed items.

Tickets are $10 Presale and $15 at the door. Kids are free!

AVEDA salons are also hosting Appointments for Clean Water throughout the month of April.
100% of the proceeds from select salon services will benefit Environmental Advocates of New York.

    This is a really cool event. I wish they had something like this where I live. The dresses are really cool looking!

    This sure looks fun, and fun for the people making the creations. It would be a nice project for a teen, to get them thinking about recycling and being conscious and conscientious about the environment.

    Catwalk for Water is a wonderful event. I think the outfits are so unique and terrific also.
