Chocolate is one of those things that I love to indulge in. If you ask me what my favorite sweet or overall dessert is, it is chocolate! However, chocolate is just that – a treat, to be enjoyed in moderation.
I was fascinated to learn about Gatsby Chocolate and how it compares to your average, traditional chocolates. Gatsby chocolates offer the opportunity for a better version of chocolate, but also chocolates that can be enjoyed by a variety of consumers, such as vegans or those sensitive to sugar consumption.
These low-fat Gatsby chocolates have 90% less fat than premium chocolate brands. There are quite a few chocolates out there that tend to leave a greasy film in my mouth, which is rather unpleasant. It is nice to have that alternative that doesn’t leave a greasy slick in my mouth or leave me feeling like I have eaten junk food.
Gatsby also has 90% less sugar than premium chocolate brands. I often find that chocolates are just too sweet, and I would rather have more flavor versus something that is just overpoweringly sweet. I am also not a fan of sugar-free chocolates that use artificial sweeteners, as I cannot stand the taste.
I found the taste of the Gatsby Almond Dark bar to be very rich, and it makes for a satisfying treat.
It is nice to have some vegan options too, such as Sea Salt Extra Dark, Almond Dark, and the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. These are also Keto-friendly, with 1–2 grams of net carbs per serving, or 6 grams of net carbs for an entire bar.
I think this is a great line of chocolates that you can enjoy without the guilt of regular chocolates. I enjoy the taste and that these aren’t greasy.

This chocolate looks so delicious! I love the packing and the sort of luxury, 1920s reference chic for Gatsby. As someone who loved the book and the movie (and of course also loves chocolate) I think this would be a lovely gift to get for Valentines or even part of a gift basket. Yum!

That is a really low amount of sugar per serving! I would, of course, consume a full bar so my numbers would be tripled. But 6 grams of sugar still isn’t much.
