We were inspired to make some crinkle cookies after seeing them online. We weren’t sure if the recipe would be difficult, but it turned out to be easy! This is a fun recipe to do with kids as it is very chocolatey and the end product is very pretty.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar (regular granulated)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all purpose or plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup confectioner’s sugar (for coating)

Directions:

Mix together the cocoa powder, sugar, and vegetable oil.

Beat the eggs and add in the eggs and vanilla.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Mix thoroughly, then slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.

Refrigerate the dough for 4+ hours.

Preheat oven to 350.

Roll tablespoons of dough into balls, then roll in confectioners sugar.

Place on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes. The cookies will be soft when first removed from the oven; allow to cool thoroughly before serving.
