My daughter loves reading, and I had been wanting to buy her the book “Pax” for a while. Published in 2016 by Sara Pennypacker, this book has received numerous accolades, becoming a New York Times Bestseller, an Amazon Best Book of the Year, and is also on the National Book Award Longlist.
This book is recommended for grades 4-7 / ages 8-12. My daughter is 10, and enjoyed this book quite a bit.
I found the book “Pax” in my school library. It is about a fox and his owner, Peter. Pax was rescued as a kit, and the story is about how the fox and boy become friends. The story has a lot of both happy and sad parts, and is great for animal lovers.
There are a few images in the book. My daughter rarely finds illustrations in the books she reads, so it was special to have a few in Pax.

I would love to surprise my youngest daughter with this book! She loves reading Warriors by Erin Hunter right now.
My daughter loves the Warrior book series too! She also started reading the Unwanteds, which she really likes.
I borrowed this from the library and loved it but would love to gift a copy to my niece. She’s really into books about animals right now. 🙂
I’d love to win this for my son. I’ve been meaning to get it from the library, but it would make a nice stocking stuffer.
I would like this for my daughter. She likes Wonder.
