My daughter is really into cooking, and what could be more fun than combining a subscription box with fun cooking ideas? I know my kids just love getting exciting stuff in the mail, so they were both excited to see the Raddish Kids box arrive on our front step!
This unique subscription box is full of goodies for kids to enjoy, all with a cooking theme. There are fun activities and recipes, but also a great learning element.
Each subscription box comes with the following:
- 3 family-friendly recipe guides
- A skill card
- A creative activity
- A shopping list
- Table Talk card deck
- An adorable Raddish patch
- Continue the fun all month long with Bonus Bites available online
We also received a Raddish apron to get us started on our cooking journey. It is super cute and the kids always ask to wear it!
Our box came with three recipes: Chop Chop Salad, Snack Shack Sliders, and Ice Cream Parlor Sandwiches.
As a vegetarian family, the first recipe we tried was the “Chop Chop Salad”. The recipe gives you options for toppings and we started with cucumbers. My daughter also added shredded cheese and tomatoes. Even though she is 8, we haven’t let her use a knife very much, so this was good practice for both preparing food and skills in dexterity as well as being safe in the kitchen. She was very good with using a knife and I used this opportunity to go over things like tucking in her fingertips and not cutting close to her hand.
The kids have been begging me to let them do a lemonade stand for years, so they are working on their “My Lemonade Stand” card, which comes with a banner that they are decorating.
The Ice Cream Parlour Sandwiches are a cute idea, and the kids were excited to just use “their own” ice cream scoop.
Overall, this kit was a lot of fun for both kids and we enjoyed all parts of the kit, from the fun apron to the recipes and the table talk cards, which were a good reminder to not have the TV on in the background or other distractions.
When I first received this box, I was thinking how it would be nice if they had various options for dietary needs – for example, my kids are vegetarian and my youngest has a peanut allergy. I learned that they have a resource on their website for making substitutions! (You can check it out here: http://www.raddishkids.com/pages/extensions).
Regardless, we thoroughly enjoyed our box and are looking forward to ordering more. The kids can’t wait to add more items to their collection, like the recipes and table talk cards.

8 year old girl with a kitchen knife and helping mom to make the “Chop Chop Salad”, your are really lucky Marysa. However, I was looking for such kind of honest review to buy a perfect product for my home. Now I have got it.
How adorable is this?! And what an awesome gift idea! You wrote a great review on these boxes and I can’t wait to check them out 🙂
This is fantastic. My kids love to help in the kitchen. They would love the mail and something geared to their level.
I love, love, LOVE this!! I wish this would have been around when my girls were little. Our oldest daughter is due with our first Grandbaby in May. I guess I’ll have to wait for him to grow big enough to cook with Grandma!!
This is the cutest idea! And how fun that you have a daughter who loves to cook. I hope my daughter is just as into it when she’s old enough!
The Radish kit looks really fun. A great way to introduce kids to cooking. This is also a great way for quality interaction with the kids and bonding with them closely.
Oh we would love a box of fun in the kitchen like this! Cooking with the kids is great fun!
All the stuff looks cool! I love cooking and baking, I am so interested in this subscription box!
This is such a cute idea for the kids! I love that not only is it a food learning experience, but you can also teach your kids how to properly use tools.
I have always thought that kids should be able to cook at a younger age. This box is so great for that!
This is so awesome! My oldest daughter enjoys helping in the kitchen and would do great with a little more independence. This is a great introduction to cooking and something she would love.
I know my kids would love this! They love to cook.
