After making Dalgona Coffee (read my post here), we immediately started thinking about making it with matcha powder instead. We had a failed attempt of making whipped matcha by just subbing out coffee with matcha powder, so after looking online, we found a combination that works.

Ingredients needed:

~ 2 teaspoons Matcha powder
~ 1/4 cup sugar
~ 1/4 cup water
~ 1 egg white (I used meringue powder)
~ 1/2 cup milk
~ Ice cubes (optional)

Start by preparing your egg white.  I used this meringue powder since I didn’t want to risk using raw egg white.

Whip the egg white until it is fluffy.  (Since we used meringue powder, we followed the instructions for that, which you could do with any egg white replacer).

Combine 1/4 cup water and 1/4 cup sugar in a pot.  Bring to a boil.

Simmer until it thickens, and is like a syrup.

Pour the sugar syrup into your whipped egg white mix, and blend with the mixer.  Add in your matcha powder.

Continue mixing until it thickens.

Pour over milk and ice cubes.
