Let me just start the review by saying how in love with the Vuly 2 my kids are! I wouldn’t consider my children very ‘outdoorsy’, but there’s something about a trampoline that gets them playing – my boy and 2 girls. We’ve had it for just over a year now and they’ve shown no signs of slowing down.
I’ve always felt with products like rebound trampolines that you only really know whether they’ve been worth the investment after 6 months to a year. We’ve had trampolines before and (much to my kids’ disappointment) they’ve always run into problems after a year and a bit. Is the Vuly 2 different? You bet it is!
Vuly 2 trampoline review – Still going strong
As I’ve said already, our Vuly 2 gets a lot of use. The trampolines that we’ve had before all looked pretty sorry by this point. Apart from some general wear and tear, our Vuly has held up. The nice black powder coating is scratching off a little in some places but the pads haven’t started to fray and the net hasn’t become saggy – both problems that we’ve had with cheaper trampolines. It doesn’t look like something that I’m embarrassed to have in my backyard!
I think a lot of it has to do with the design of their base, which uses legs that curve out and a ring at the bottom for reinforcement. Buckling legs can be a real safety hazard. Our last trampoline (a generic, no brand one) completely collapsed, and its lucky no-one was hurt. I just don’t see this happening with the Vuly 2.
It’s such a fixture in our backyard that we bought Vuly’s basketball accessory a few months ago to go with it. That’s been a hit too. The bundled tent we got with the trampoline, though, is a bit too hard to attach and remove when you really want to use it. It mostly just sits in the shed.
Vuly 2 trampoline review – Should you buy one?
Absolutely! It might be a little pricier but the safety features and the fact that it feels so solid are worth the extra. There are so many little things that you just don’t get with other trampolines: the door that closes by itself without a zipper (a bit of a tight squeeze for mum and dad), the nonslip safety padding attachments and the games that the kids can play with the pictures on the mat.
If you’re thinking of a trampoline for your kids, it’d be hard to find a better one than Vuly 2.
