  1.    Try amber necklaces

In most cultures, amber necklaces are an age-old tradition when it comes to dealing with teething. The use of these necklaces has held credence to date, and for good reason. They have been proven to ease the discomfort that comes with teething. Amber necklace benefits come from succinic acid, which is the key component in the beads. This is a natural pain reliever, and can also help reduce your baby’s drooling when teething.  Besides, the use of amber necklaces is easy. Just make the cord short enough so that the baby can’t eat it. The amber necklace’s natural oils pass through the baby’s skin, and into the blood system.

  1. Rub the baby’s gums

When teething, your baby’s gums feel itchy and uncomfortable. You can ease this discomfort for your baby by rubbing their gums. Just be gentle when doing it, and make sure that your fingers are clean. You don’t want a situation where you infect your baby with disease-causing bacteria while trying to soothe their gums. This would only make a bad situation worse.

  1.   Give your baby hard foods

Giving your baby hard food doesn’t mean they have to swallow it. It’s simply supposed to help with soothing their gums. For instance, you can give your kid a carrot to chew on, as a way to sooth the gums. While this method can help in soothing a baby’s gums, it needs to be done under supervision. That’s because, if the baby swallows something as big and hard as a carrot, they may choke on it, and that’s risky. Nonetheless, it’s a method that works, and can help reduce your baby’s teething discomfort.

  1.    Wipe your baby’s drool

When teething, your baby will drool a lot. This may cause skin irritation and add to the discomfort. To prevent this, dry up your baby’s drool with a soft towel as often as possible. To prevent skin irritation due to too much wetness, you may also apply lotion around the baby’s chin.

If you apply a combination of some of the above tips, you should be in a position to ease the discomfort on your teething baby. It’s a difficult process in the short-term, but once it’s over you will enjoy the new sight of your little munchkins. A baby’s first set of teeth make the baby multiple times more adorable than they already are before the teeth. You also feel nice knowing that they are growing up well.
