Tip No. 1: Hot Bubble Bath, Anyone?

Ah! Don’t you just love that feeling? Imagine, getting all your nerves calmed down in a sea of bubbles after a long sweaty day with the kids. Add in your favorite pocket book, the crisp white you bought from the quality wine shop  downtown and the game is definitely on.

For a more relaxing and more enjoyable experience, try adding in some soothing scents to your bath. You can do this aromatherapy by sprinkling some essential oils like lavender or vanilla then lighting a couple of scented candles or incense.

You can also add in some wonderful moisturizing bath bombs and solutions to the bubble bath so you can treat your skin too. Yay for double purpose! Try using organic products to make sure they are safe for sensitive skin.

Tip No. 2: Try Yoga

You may have already heard about yoga but have you tried it for yourself? According to the American Osteopathic Association, yoga promotes increased flexibility, increased muscle strength and tone, improved respiration, weight reduction, and cardio circulatory health.

Also, Dr. Natalie Nevins, DO, a board-certified osteopathic family physician and certified Kundalini Yoga instructor in Hollywood, California said that the relaxation techniques that are incorporated in yoga can lessen chronic pain. Talk about a peaceful mind and a healthy body.

Tip No. 3: Shopping Break

Yes, mom, you read that right! Taking a shopping break every once in a while is a great way to recuperate from all the daily stresses of being a mother. While we know that shopping for yourself is definitely not one of the primary priorities you have for now, it is also good to remind you that loving your kids and your family does not demand you to not love yourself.

A shopping break, or retail therapy as they like to call it, is a great way to relax your mind and release pheromones. While on it, why don’t you  try out that beautiful dress you’ve been eyeing for a long time now? Remember, you also need to treat yourself.

Tip No. 4: Spend Quality Time With The Kids

At the end of the day, you’re still a mom. For you, your kids are the most precious things you have in this life. Nothing makes you happier than seeing them smile and eat happily. So, why don’t you spend quality time with them?

You can go to an amusement park or treat them at their favorite restaurant. If you’re a little short on money and on time, you can bond over baking cookies. The possibilities are endless when you’re with them. Treasure these moments and make the ride worthwhile.
