Both of my kids have guinea pigs, and we go through a lot of food and treats. The guinea pigs showed interest in the Brown’s Tropical Carnival Natural Timothy Hay Craveables right away.
They really seem to like all of the components of the craveables. It’s nice to have some extra dry foods to give them in addition to their usual pellets and hay, so they can forage during the day.
This is a nice medley of ingredients:
Sun-Cured Timothy Hay, Flaked Corn, Flaked Peas, Dried Papaya, Dried Cranberries, Dried Sweet Potatoes, Oat Sprays, Sugar and Sunflower Oil.
Some of the ingredients were ones we have never seen before, like the oat sprays. The guinea pigs enjoyed nibbling on these as they foraged through the various parts of the mix.
We find that a lot of guinea pig treats have unnatural ingredients, so I was happy to see that this product is “Free of additives and preservatives”. We don’t have any animals, but I’m sure this is great for those that do. Convenience is everything.
I was expecting to see the product look like pellets – but the “treats” look like natural grass. I bet the guinea pigs love it.

We have a chinchilla and he loves the Brown’s Tropical Carnival fruit and also the food. I am going to see if he will like the craveables. I am pretty sure he would.

Guinea Pigs! TOTALLY forgot about that animal! haahaha! I actually think my friend has one. I wanted one when I was a kid, but now, no animals. I don’t want any. I am not an animal person at all.
