Musician Gunnar Madsen has been creating music for many years, but “I Am Your Food” is his first children’s album in over a decade. He has been successful in many things from composing to TV and film, to songwriting for an award-winning musical, to being a solo composer. When my kids saw “I Am Your Food” album cover, they wanted to know what it was all about!
“I Am Your Food” is full of silly lyrics and funny voices. With song names like “Egg Salad in the Sun”, I wouldn’t expect anything less! Madsen’s lyrics about bacteria and playing roulette with some really bad egg salad are truly entertaining. His voice goes into a variety of different characters that brings each song to life.
With a lot of serious stuff going on in the world, it’s nice to take a break and have some fun. Madsen is so creative and puts together a unique album that is sure to entertain kids. Great one to put on during a long road trip!
You may also recognize the guest vocals on this album, including Frances England, Bill Harley and Justin Roberts.
