This year, we are excited to be visiting the Maker Faire in New York on September 25-26!
What is Maker Faire?
Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors. All of these “makers” come to Maker Faire to show what they have made and to share what they have learned.
I have two kids, and this is a very kid-friendly event, with lots for kids to see and do. We are always looking for ways to inspire our girls to be creative and imaginative, and Maker Faire is the perfect event!
The New York location of the World Maker Faire is at the New York Hall of Science in Queens.
However, there are Maker Faires around the United States and even around the world! Check the Maker Faire website to find one near you.
We are so excited to be going to the Maker Faire for the weekend! It is a fun family adventure that I am sure will leave us with lots of unique family memories! Be sure to check back to hear how our trip to Maker Faire was!
