Zazu Kids LOU Nightlight

My daughter has been having nightmares lately.  It has gotten to the point where I wake up in the middle of the night now whether or not I hear her wake up, because I am so used to climbing in her bed to soothe her from bad dreams!  She has anxiety about bedtime now, so anything that helps with settling her in for a good night’s sleep is useful.  Zazu Kids makes a fantastic “Lou” nightlight that is great for kids of all ages!

Zazu Nightlight

For a while we were using a soothing light that changes colors.  However, the light was only battery powered, with no automatic shutoff, so I was constantly having to remember to shut it off, and had to frequently replace batteries.  As I unpackaged the LOU Nightlight, I breathed a sigh of relief as it comes with an optional cord!  Not only that, but you can set it to automatically shut off.

Zazu Nightlight

This nightlight is easy to use with lots of great features.  For one, you can use this with just batteries, or plug it in.  I can see us taking this with us on trips or other situations where we might not use the cord.. but the cord is also great for saving loads of batteries.

I didn’t look at the instructions before setting this up, and it was easy to figure out.  The lights turn on separately and can be dimmed separately.  You can set them to turn off after a period of time.

And one of the coolest features of this nightlight is a setting where the nightlight turns on if your child cries in the middle of the night!  This is so reassuring as a parent, that my daughter won’t be in the dark if she has a bad dream and wakes up, or even when she calls for me.

Zazu Nightlight

There are two separate lights incorporated in the LOU Nightlight – the owl and the ring that goes over it.  We have a blue owl, which is super cute, and the nightlight is also available in pink and gray.  I love that this nightlight is completely adjustable and customizeable.  Sometimes when I have slept in my daughter’s bed, I can’t sleep well because her nightlights are too bright, I can sleep fine with the blue owl on a low-light setting.

Zazu Nightlight

This nightlight is absolutely adorable and a great tool for helping kids sleep comfortably.  My daughter told me that she didn’t have any bad dreams the other night because of her nightlight.  It is easy for her to use and gives us all peace of mind for an easier bedtime and my daughter sleeps better through the night.  By far, this is the best nightlight we have ever used!

Kids having nightmare can be a traumatic experience for both parents and kids. I am glad that this light helps. It is also cute and I might get one for my daughter.

    Hi Marysa
What an adorable nightlight! I recently had difficulties with my toddler waking up way too early in the morning! Anything that can help them (and you) sleep better is AMAZING!
This looks like a great nightlight, that you can even bring with you while traveling! Thanks for sharing.
