Mantry ~ The Modern Man’s Pantry (**GIVEAWAY**)

Mantry

This product was provided free of charge in exchange for an honest review.

I have a hard time shopping for the guys in my life.  Whether it is my husband or another friend or family member, I am often stumped as far as what to get them!  The Mantry subscription box is a great way to address those shopping challenges!

Each Mantry includes 6 full size artisan food products delivered to their door. Packed in a Handmade Wooden Crate and custom Manual detailing product stories and recipes.

Mantry

Each month, Mantry has a different theme crate.  You can purchase one crate at a time, or in 3 or 6-month increments.  We tried the November box, which had a theme of “Coffee & Smoke”.  I loved this original idea, and we were not familiar with any of the products that arrived in the crate.  Not only that, but the crate is made in the USA, plus all of the products come from around the US too!

The food & beverage items that you’ll receive in your Mantry are not your typical grocery store varieties. Led by the hand of amazing Artisan makers, these foods are painstakingly sourced and lovingly crafted into the perfect original theme (i.e. Bourbon Breakfast, Hecho en America). At Mantry, we believe in our artisan partners and the quality of their products. Some are small upstarts, fighting for a chance to change the way Tonic is seen. Some are award-wining restaurant Chefs who live on the vanguard of cuisine and culinary excellence. Each of them pours their heart and soul into their craft.

The Mantry crate, which has such a cool rustic feel to it (a real wood crate), comes with a little booklet to tell you about the items inside.  It was nice to be able to learn a little bit about each of the items in the crate.

Mantry Box

My husband had to start with this salami, which is made from antibiotic-free meat.  It was great to see a product that, aside from never hearing of this before, had a natural ingredients.

Mantry

My husband has used a lot of different kind of BBQ sauces, but certainly not this one, which he had never seen before.

Mantry Box

My husband is a big coffee fan, and it was like the Dave’s Coffee Syrup was hand-picked for him.  Both the product and the packaging are unique, and this has probably been the most-used gift, plus it gives me an idea of what to buy after all the items in the Mantry box are used up.

Mantry Box

The crate also included Espresso Chip Shortbread, Mocha Hazelnut granola, and a coffee & white chocolate bar… all of which were thoroughly enjoyed!  These were not your average granola or sweet treats, and it is always nice to have a little departure from the ordinary.  Although the Mantry box is designed for guys, I was impressed at the range of artisan goodies in this box too.

We had a lot of fun exploring the Mantry box (I enjoyed these products too!), some of which I am guessing we will try to find again if we can.  This box makes a great Christmas gift, birthday gift, Father’s Day gift, and more.

I think my grandpa is hardest to shop for! Or in general older people are harder for me to shop for….because they pretty much have everything they “want” already, and it’s not always easy to think of homemade gifts that a 91 year old croation immigrant would like hahah :p but i usually end up getting him gift cards to his favorite breakfast spots.

  22. 22

I have a husband that is super hard to shop for. He loves many things, but tends to go out and get things himself. So when I buy something, excitedly I show him, and he says “oh, I have that”. Something like this where each month there would be new and exciting products, would be super fun. I have an amazing husband that deserves far more than he ever asks for.
