Maddie’s Mark October 5k and Virtual 5k

Maddie's Mark

As you may know, September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.  You can support a great cause this October by participating in a Maddie’s Mark 5k!  Maddie’s Mark is a not for profit Foundation dedicated to helping people enjoy their ‘best days ever’.  The foundation was created in memory of Madeline Musto, who became an angel in February 2012, just five days after being diagnosed with DIPG (a rare inoperable brainstem tumor).

Maddie’s Mark Foundation is our way of showing the world our Madeline and carrying on her beautiful legacy of love and kindness. We hope for people to enjoy all the good the world has to offer, to enjoy their ‘best days ever’. The goals of the foundation are a reflection of Madeline’s spirit and outlook on life. All support and donations will be going toward these goals.

This fall, whether or not you are local to Upstate New York, you can support this wonderful cause.  You can support Maddie’s Mark from anywhere in the world by participating in their Virtual 5k!

This year’s third annual Maddie’s Mark 5k will take place once again in Central Park Schenectady.  Enjothe Best Run Ever with your family and friends.  Central Park in Schenectady is located in a beautiful wooded setting with a scenic pond and playgrounds for the children to enjoy before and after the race.  This is an AREEP  chip timed race.  Walkers are welcome. Maddie's Mark 5k Medal

I am excited to participate for many reasons and support this amazing cause!  Madeline has touched so many people and so many hearts

I will be participating in the virtual 5k, which I am very excited for.  I have been working on training, but honestly life is just so busy that it is a challenge for me to train.  Training for the virtual 5K allows me to push myself but also not have anxiety about how well I would run my 5k – plus, we travel most weekends, so this can fit into my schedule.

Check out Maddie’s Mark and sign up for the 5k at http://www.maddiesmark.org/

What a wonderful cause for a charity run. I love to see people supporting causes like this.

An absolutely wonderful cause. Cancer of any kind is horrible and devastating to families, but to a child is just imaginable. I pray for all babies suffering from this disease.
