Scotties Supports Kittens (**Back-to-School GIVEAWAY**)

What do Scotties Tissues and kittens have in common? They are both super soft!

This summer, Scotties Tissues is sponsoring cat adoptions along the East Coast.  Working with a variety of rescue organizations, they will waive adoption fees so that cats can be placed in loving homes.

Scotties Kittens

What a great partnership!  I also love that Scotties goes above and beyond to be environmentally friendly – definitely something to consider when you are shopping for tissues!  They plant 3 trees for every 1 they use, are certified through the Sustainable Forestry Initiative and are linked with the Renewable Forest Project.  They have also partnered with American Forests to promote urban tree planting initiative.

With a school year starting soon, it’s time to stock up on tissues.  Our teachers always have tissues on the school supply list, and we always make sure we have some on hand at home, because inevitably with the begin of the school year, the kids pick up germs.

The Scotties Tissue boxes come in a wide variety of sizes and types.  Our favorite is the 3-ply, but there are tissues for everyone, such as aloe or 2-ply.  You can also buy cubes, reach-in boxes, and more.  I personally love the boxes where my kids can pull out one tissue at a time, since it prevents them from grabbing several at a time.

Scotties Tissues Butterflies

The boxes also come in lots of great colors and designs.  We sampled among a variety of designs, from butterflies to flowers to other patterns.  The kids even got excited about the tissues – my 7 year old picked out a dark blue box with leopard-like spots, and my 4 year old grabbed a box with flowers on it.  We go through a lot of Scotties – some for home, some go to the office, a box goes in the car, others go to our school teachers.  Scotties has great tissues – we love their tissues, and we love what the Scotties company does!

So check out Scotties and their cute new logo next time you go stock up on tissues!

We have a dog who was going to be dropped at the shelter by a woman who was moving and was not going to take her dog with her. I felt so terrible for the dog. Who would just drop their pet at a shelter? I guess that’s just not my mindset. Anyway, we adopted him into our family from hers and he didn’t have to spend any time in the shelter, but I do think of him as a rescue in that sense.
