Salba Chia Seeds for Beauty (**GIVEAWAY**)

Salba Chia Seeds

This product was provided free of charge in exchange for an honest review.

There are so many reasons I eat chia seeds – they are packed with so many nutrients, I love that they provide omega-3s, help with digestion, and so much more.  And, they are so easy to use, with a quick sprinkle in my food.

However, not only can chia seeds help with your general internal health, but your beauty too!

Chia seeds are popping up in face creams and oils everywhere, but did you know that just eating 1 tablespoon of Salba Chia whole seeds every day can give your body more essential nutrients, like omega-3s (ALA) to keep your skin glowing and hair silky, as well as protecting your brain, heart and digestive health? Chia has come a long way from its sprouted head days and there are very good reasons to add this mighty whole food to everyday beauty regimens.

So how can Salba Chia improve beauty?

Every 15g serving of Salba provides 800% more Omega-3s (ALA) than salmon (EPA/DHA) – perfect for combating dry skin!

Each serving contains 5.1g of dietary fiber to support healthy digestion and curb appetite.

Contains 30% more antioxidants than blueberries (based on ORAC scores), a natural way to maintain youthful, radiant skin.

One of the ways I love incorporating chia seeds into my diet is with a morning smoothie.  What a great way to start your day, eat clean, and eat healthy.  The “Better Beauty Smoothie” using Salba chia seeds is a delicious, healthy combination of ingredients to give your body, and your skin, a boost of nutrients.  I went a bit heavy-handed on the blueberries, which made for beautiful (!) blue smoothie!

Salba Chia Better Beauty Smoothie

Salba Chia Better Beauty Smoothie

 – 2 cups raw almond milk

 – 2 T. Salba chia seeds

 – 1 ripe banana

 – 5 strawberries, cut

 – ½ cup blueberries

 – ½ avocado, peeled & pitted

Blend together until smooth consistency; add ice cubes if desired.

Another great recipe from Salba Smart is this exfoliating facial.  So many great ingredients, and the chia seeds are gentle and natural.  There are so many harsh products out there, and even ones with plastic beads as exfoliators, which are products I avoid.  Why not use something from nature?!

Salba Chia Exfoliator

Tiny chia seeds can act as a gentle and natural exfoliator when combined with coconut oil and lemon juice:

· Mix ½ cup coconut oil and 1 T. lemon juice with 2 T. Salba chia seeds.

· Gently wet your face with warm water and apply the chia exfoliating scrub to your skin. Let it set for 2 minutes, during which it should begin to form a gel.

· Remove the chia scrub with a wet washcloth and rinse your face with cool water when finished.
