Amara Organics Vitamin C Serum Review

Amara Organics Vitamin C Serum

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

With lots of long, tiring days in my week, I am always looking for ways to make my skin look and feel better.  I am a busy mom of two kids, and I don’t have a whole lot of time to take time for myself.  I like skincare products that use natural, healthy ingredients, and the Amana Organics Vitamin C Serum is exactly the kind of thing I look for in a skincare product.

This serum contains Vitamin C, E, and Hyaluronic Acid, which are combined to improve the appearance of your skin and provide anti-aging benefits.

Amara Organics

  • Increases the production of collagen to bring back skin’s natural elasticity and counteract fine lines and wrinkles
  • Powerful antioxidant properties neutralize free radicals to reverse damage caused by the sun, pollutants, and cigarette smoke
  • Protects your skin from UV damage such as age spots, discoloration, and fine lines
  • Improves skin texture to give you a smoother, brighter complexion

Ingredients: Deionized Aqua (Water), Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf (Aloe Vera Extract), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Cassia Angustifolia Seed Polysaccharide (Botanical Hyaluronic Acid), Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel), Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Carrageenan Gum, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Oil), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin, Organic Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola Extract), Organic Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail Plant Extract), Organic Pelagonium Gravoleons (Geranium Extract), Organic Taraxacum Officinale (Dandelion Extract)

This serum arrived quickly in a little glass bottle, and contains 1 fl oz.

It comes with a cap as well as dropper top, which makes it easy to apply.  You simply add a small amount to clean skin (face or neck area) and allow to absorb.  There is very little scent to this product, and the scent that it does have is pleasant, somewhat citrus.

For some reason, I expected this product to be greasy, but it is not.  It is thicker than water, but it has a fairly thin consistency.  You can just make out in this picture, a drop of serum in my hand.

Amara Organics

It goes on easily, and I apply it after I take a shower.  You only need a tiny bit of serum, and it absorbs very quickly.  I haven’t made it through a whole jar, and I expect that it will last quite some time, because a little bit goes a long way.  The serum doesn’t make my skin feel sticky, greasy, or shiny, so you can put makeup on right over it as well without any issues.

Amara Organics

If you have dry skin, you can put moisturizer right over this.  Especially with our long, dry winter, I usually use a touch of coconut oil or sweet almond oil on my face after I apply this product and give it a moment to absorb.

I have not had any skin irritation with this product.  I scrub my face pretty vigorously in the shower, and even then, this serum doesn’t sting or make it feel raw.  It actually feels soothing, and after using it for several weeks, I notice my skin feels smoother and healthier.  I have battled with skin issues for years – acne, combination skin, uneven skin tone, and more.  I notice that my skin looks healthier overall.

I think this is a great product, because it delivers lots of great benefits to your skin, without irritation, drying, greasiness, and so on.  It is a very quick and easy step you can add to your skincare routine to help your skin looking younger.

I’ve heard of vitamin C of course, but never in a serum. Interesting! I wonder how it interacts for people that take vitamin c, in regards to the safe limit.

  4. 4

I really could use some of this for my face. I used vitamin e when I had surgery on my eye and it was amazing. Thanks for sharing.

  5. 5

Very interesting! I wasn’t aware of this product before, but I’m always on the lookout for products that would be good for my skin, especially as I’m getting older. I think I would like the light citrus scent too.

  6. 6

I’ve been trying out many skin products recently. I’ll have to give this a try also.

  7. 7

Vitamin E serums always seem to do a great job on improving skin health. I really like them.

  8. 8

I SOOOOO need this!! My hands are so dry that lotion alone doesn’t do the works.

  9. 9

I just got the product today. It looks nothing like a serum but more like cloudy water. Is that right?

Hi Diana – yes, it is like a slightly cloudy water! Goes on very thin and absorbs quickly. I love that it isn’t greasy!
