It’s a place where you will find our family of “best of the best” reusables available in many categories so you can eliminate disposables from every part of your life — from bags and bottles to lunch, household items and beyond. Practical, innovative and high-quality, our offerings give consumers smart alternatives to use-and-toss items and the false promise of cheap reusables flooding the marketplace.

Reusit store Juice in a Box

One of the ways Reuseit makes it easy to reduce waste is creating a waste-free lunch.  My daughter is in 1st grade, and over the past year and a half, I have noticed how much waste is involved every time I pack her snack and lunch bags.  The Reuseit website has so many great products to eliminate waste, I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out a couple products to try.  They have everything you can think of, from accessories to lunch kits, with products for both kids and adults.

Here are a few eye-opening facts from Reuseit:

  • Each year, American school kids toss out 4.6 billion pounds of lunch waste.
  • Lunchtime trash is second only to office paper as the leading source of school waste.
  • Toxic levels of lead exist in over 40 different juices and juice boxes.
  • Most juice boxes cannot be recycled due to the inseparability of the cardboard, plastic, and aluminum foil used in the product.

One of the most frustrating source of waste for me has been juice boxes.  Right now we use 10 a week (for snack and lunch), and next year it will be 20 a week when my other child begins Kindergarten.  A total of 80 juice boxes a month. and that’s just for school – that is a lot of waste!

I have tried numerous juice containers, but it has been impossible to find one that is a good size and does not leak.  I actually have a kitchen drawer full of juice containers that leak, but I can’t bring myself to throw them all out.  It is so true about there being a problem of too many cheap reusables out there!  I was eager to try Juice in the Box from Reuseit see if I had better luck, and I am glad I did!

Juice in the Box is a leak-free alternative to a disposable juice box- and it really does not leak.  There is a silicone seal around the edge where the top fits on, and the silicone straw clamps shut when the lid is closed.

Reuseit Juice in the Box

There are so many great things about Juice in the Box, in addition to cutting out all that waste.  You can control what your kids drink – for example, I use watered down organic fruit juice.  The plastic is also BPA-free, so you know just what is in your juice box.  Not only is Juice in the Box very durable, but it is dishwasher safe too.  This product has been such a lifesaver, and I am ordering at least 3 more so that each of my girls can have enough for their daily snack and lunch at school.

Another great Reuseit product is the Crocodile Creek Eco Kids Sandwich Keeper.  These come in 4 super cute designs for both boys and girls.  My girls love their butterfly box.  The most common lunch I send in is a sandwich, so this gets used almost every day of the week – no more plastic lunch baggies!  The sandwich keeper is made of BPA-free and phthalate-free polypropylene.

I got to try an awesome product for myself that the Reuseit store carries – the CamelBak® eddy™ glass water bottle.

Reuseit Store

What a perfect item if you are trying to stick with fitness resolutions, or you are making an effort to drink enough water.. minus the waste of disposable water bottles.  And with glass, you never have to worry about any kind of leaching, BPA or otherwise.  Not to mention it is attractive, and comes with a silicone sleeve to protect the glass.  I love the color choices and couldn’t resist the purple!

Reuseit Store Camelbak glass water bottle

I like having a bite valve on this water bottle, because I can really use it while I am working out at the gym, hiking, or doing anything else active, without it spilling on me or hitting my teeth on the edge of an open bottle.

This water bottle is truly durable.  Within a few days of receiving it, my gym tote fell off my tall kitchen bar stool and onto the tile floor with the Camelbak glass bottle in it.  To my relief, it wasn’t broken, cracked, or even chipped!  I love this product, and have gotten numerous compliments on it – definitely a part of my daily routine.

Reuseit carries just about anything you can think of, including products for babies and kids (diapers to waste free lunchbox supplies), new moms (such as cloth nursing pads), household items and much much more.  I know that I will be back to purchase some more great items to make our life healthier and greener.

Check out these other great products from Reuseit!  I had such a hard time just picking a few!

Love Reusit and their lunch products for kids! My fave is the Blue Avacado lunch and snack bags. I’ve found them to be more durable than others. They are also clear, so you can see the contents….which the kiddos like.

I am intrigued by the Planet Wise Reusable Sandwich Bag with Zipper. I wonder how a bag would work in a lunch box for a 5 year old instead of a plastic container.
