Mighty Leaf Tea (**HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY**)

Mighty Leaf Tea

This product was provided free of charge in exchange for an honest review.

I drink tea every day.  It is such a big part of my daily routine, and I start and end each day with tea.  As an avid tea drinker, I have heard a lot about Mighty Leaf, and was very excited to try their products.

Mighty Leaf Tea was born for the sole purpose of infusing life into an ancient indulgence by creating tea products that reach new heights of quality and innovation.  Their passion is for creating the most incredible handcrafted tea blends found anywhere, globally sourcing the finest ingredients available. Paralleling the highest standards of quality at Mighty Leaf Tea is ongoing creative innovation.

I was thrilled to try two of their bestselling items – the TeaTop Brew Travel Mug and Mighty Leaf Orange Dulce Black Tea.

Mighty Leaf Tea

Mighty Leaf Orange Dulce Black Tea has a wonderfully inviting aroma, perfect for these crisp fall mornings, and the taste is just as wonderful.  I love that none of the flavors overpowers the others, and I can taste the different notes within the tea.  This tea has a nice rich flavor, yet not too strong.  I have to admit that I am not often a fan of black teas, but I wouldn’t think twice about choosing this one, which is smooth and has no hint of bitterness.  I don’t add anything to this tea – it is wonderful just the way it is!

Orange Dulce flavored black tea is a luscious, rich brew teeming with notes of bergamot, orange, vanilla and jasmine blossoms. Made with Ceylon and China black teas, Orange Dulce brews up a fragrant and full bodied dark tea. Reminiscent of an aged Port, the flavor is sure to please.

Not only is the tea itself great, but the tea pouch beautiful and very thoughtfully designed.  My favorite thing is that it is entirely compostable, because it is made from 100% polyactic corn based material.  There are no glue or staples, and the pouches are stitched with 100% unbleached cotton.  The silken pouch allows maximum tea steeping, and Mighty Leaf uses whole leaf tea with no ‘tea dust’.  A bonus is that the tag tells you the brew time, so when I tuck one of these in my purse for when I’m going to a friend’s house, I have the instructions right there.

Mighty Leaf Tea Bag

The TeaTop Brew Travel Mug is perfect for me.  I start my mornings first thing with a cup of hot tea, but as a busy mom, I often don’t even make it through my first cup before I’m on the go.  Needless to say, I can’t exactly take a mug filled with hot tea to the car, as I try to juggle getting kids in the car and holding backpacks, jackets, etc.  But even if I could manage to get a mug to the car, that leaves the question of what do I do with the tea bag when it is done steeping – because my favorite green tea, oversteeped, becomes so bitter that I can’t drink it.

The TeaTop Brew Travel Mug is the answers to my problems, as is not your average stainless travel mug.  It has a very unique top, which allows you to brew your tea and then pull up the tea bag when it is done steeping.  So easy to use, and then you have a place to store your tea bag.  I infuse one tea bag numerous times, so I’m not left with oversteeped tea or having to throw out a perfectly good tea bag.  I love this mug!  And, this 12oz mug is stainless steel – which is a must for me (no plastic!).

Mighty Leaf Tea

Mighty Leaf has so many great products.  Among their teas, you can choose pouches or loose tea.  And they offer just about every kind of tea you can think of, from herbal to green to black, or rooibos (red).

Some of the Mighty Leaf products I would love to try include:

Green Tea Tropical ~ green tea mixed with the flavors of tropical fruit:

Mighty Leaf Green Tea Tropical

Mighty Leaf Chamomile Citrus ~ because I don’t go to bed without having chamomile tea.  This one sounds amazing, because let’s face it, chamomile alone can get a little boring, but this one has a subtle citrus flavor added.

Mighty Leaf Chamomile Citrus

And this 16oz tea mug!  I never drink out of a small traditional size mug, and this one is big!  Great way to start the day.

I have tried this brand several times. It is over priced, they use a lot of artificial flavours and additives. They also send out mouldy expired teas to customers. Customer service is shocking. Also there is nothing American about this, it is made using slave labour near Libya in North Africa!! I cant say anything good here, sorry.
