This is a great craft for using recycled materials, and it is quick and easy for a range of ages.
All you need is:
~ jars or containers (plastic or glass)
~ tissue paper
~ glue or Mod Podge (white glue seems more than sufficient for my little kids, but you could use Mod Podge)
Simply use a brush to paint glue on to your container. It is easier to do small areas at a time so that you can get to it before the glue dries. Add your pieces of tissue paper, which you can also brush and smooth over with glue.
You can do a random design, or come up with some kind of pattern.
You can go over the tissue paper with an additional coat of glue or Mod Podge once the your tissue paper is dry.
Here is a tissue paper jar made from a plastic drinkable yogurt container:
You also don’t have to use small squares of tissue paper – you can use any size, a variety of shapes, colors, and patterns.
