I am always looking for creative ways to use kale from the garden. It is easy to grow and loaded with antioxidants, iron, vitamin C, calcium, and other nutrients. This smoothie is very easy to make, and even my 6 year old loves it! This is a nice change from savory kale recipes, and you can really be creative with this smoothie – experiment with different fruits.
1 cup almond milk or coconut milk, or a combination of milk/vanilla yogurt
1-2 cups kale
approximately half dozen strawberries
(Makes one smoothie)
Wash the kale and remove the stems.
Wash the strawberries, remove tops, and cut up the strawberries.
Add the milk/yogurt and blend until smooth.
Optional – add a dash of sugar.
