Do you know someone who makes a difference? Someone who works hard in every aspect of their life? Maybe you know someone who is dedicated to their job and making their community a better place… maybe that person is you! If you work in a U.S. industry, including plant managers, floor supervisors, assembly line operators, truck drivers, mechanics, and workers in manufacturing, automotive, construction, logistics, food service, and more, you can nominate yourself as the Great American Worker – and you can be rewarded for your hard work!
Every year, Brawny Industrial® Wipers holds a contest to find the Great American Worker. This contest “salutes the efforts of the unsung heroes of American industry, recognizing their dedication to safety, productivity, and community involvement”. These are the people who make a difference, both in the workplace and in their hometowns.
What makes a Great American Worker?
~ Productivity. A Great American Worker is capable and efficient; someone you can count on to get the job done.
~ Safety. A Great American Worker is committed to creating a safer work environment for their co-workers.
~ Community. A Great American Worker shows real leadership by pitching in to help their community.
Nominations are accepted from March 5 to July 7, 2013, so get online! Contestants must submit a short essay telling why they are the Great American Worker and how their commitment, dedication, and leadership have made a difference on the job and in the community.
The finalist will win a Ford F-150 truck, and you can support your favorite finalist by voting daily. Each vote earns you an entry for a chance to win a DeWALT® Combo Kit or one of 25 Georgia-Pacific Product Packs!
Judging: July 8-July 25, 2013
Community voting: July 26-September 20, 2013
Votes tabulated: September 21-October 14, 2013
The winners of the Great American Worker will be announced on or about October 15, 2013.
So if you think you could be the next Great American Worker, get online and nominate yourself! Or if you know someone who should be in the running, make sure they submit their essay, and you can support them with your daily vote. You can help Brawny Industrial honor the best in our American workforce!
