Even though I love baby wearing, there are times that you really need a stroller. My first two kids were over 4 years apart, so I didn’t need a double/tandem stroller, since my daughter was really too big to ride. Once I had a 2 1/2 year old and a newborn, I realized I really needed one!
There were a few pieces to put together; some were tucked inside the stroller.
My son claimed the steering wheel pretty much as soon as it came out of the box!
The stroller has comfortable hand grips, with three handle heights. It has 5-point harnesses for safety, with padded sleeves to keep the kiddos comfy.
My son loves the cup holder and steering wheel! There’s no snack tray, but since the “tray” area doesn’t go all the way across, it’s easy to climb in and out of. There’s also no snack tray/cup holder in the back, but for me it doesn’t matter since my younger child is just a newborn!
The stroller is available in the “spark” color scheme, which is bright (but not too bright) and modern.
There is a foot rest for the child in the back, and the storage basket is quite deep.
There is a small storage bag on each side of the stroller for snacks, small toys etc. that you want to have easily accessible.
There is a parent cup holder, but no storage tray. Neither the parent nor the child cup holder is very large, and I do miss having a storage tray to keep my phone and keys right in front of me. The parent cup holder isn’t attached to the handle by much, so hopefully one of my kids doesn’t yank on it and break it!
My son isn’t big on strollers, but he didn’t want to get out of the Jeep stroller! The morning after we got it, he said he wanted to “drive [his] car” the 7 miles to my daughter’s school, ha ha! My 7-year old daughter was able to push him, and even maneuver corners in the kitchen. I was surprised by how easy it was to steer, even with all the weight in the front.

Only the rear seat accommodates an infant seat, so this isn’t the best choice for someone who has infant twins. Each seat has two positions: upright and reclined. The seats do not lay completely flat, and the front seat cannot recline when the infant seat is installed. The rear seat reclines with a latch, but the front seat just has a strap with a buckle holding it upright. You open this to recline the seat. That has me a little concerned about durability, since if part of that buckle latch were to break, the seat would no longer sit upright.
The infant seat doesn’t “click” anywhere. Instead, you buckle and tighten a red strap to secure the seat. There is a pocket on each side to store the straps when you’re not using them. This does mean an extra step, but the seat is very secure as long as you make sure to tighten the straps properly.
You can use the canopy of the stroller combined with your car seat’s canopy to almost completely block the sun. I also didn’t have trouble using it with the canopy all the way back so I could see the baby. However, I am short & do not have a long stride!
I do wish the canopy had a “window” like my single stroller has, so I could peek in without opening the canopy.
The basket is easily accessible even with the seat reclined, though you might have trouble if you have a very large, bulky item in it.
A huge selling point of the Jeep Traveler is that it folds to just 21 ¾ w” x 36 ¾ h” x 18 d”, so you don’t need an SUV!
There are several steps involved in folding the stroller, and it is definitely a 2-handed job. The stroller is quite heavy (I believe it is about 35 pounds) however, you can easily pull it like a rolling suitcase once it’s folded. An extra step or two makes it more compact if you need it to be.
If you want a tandem stroller with great features for an economical price, that will also fit in your trunk, you’ve found it!!
