Merry Fluffy Sponsor Spotlight: THE DIAPER SPRAYER (**Extra BONUS Entries**)

Here’s another “Merry Fluffy Christmas” sponsor spotlight and your chance to take a sneak peek at one more of the prizes in our “fluffy” prize package offered during December’s event!  Remember, ONE winner takes ALL the prizes you will see in these forthcoming sponsor spotlight posts.

Currently valued at almost $400!

I have been cloth diapering for nearly 2 years now with our son, Noah.  Recently we had our newest little angel grace our presence – Amelia – 11 weeks old.

In the amount of time that I have been cloth diapering and blogging, I have received and reviewed a plethora of “green” and eco-friendly baby and parenting products.  I absolutely love to receive new and innovative products that not only promote a healthy environment for our families and children, but I also love to share my experiences using these products with other moms and dads.

Recently, I was approached to test out a great product that I honestly have been vying for – for a very long time!  The Diaper Sprayer is a sprayer that is specifically designed to easily install onto your toilet and rinse out dirty cloth diapers.  Upon receiving this sprayer, I hounded my husband to install it onto our guest toilet as soon as possible – and he did so with no complaints 😉

Quickly installing the sprayer, my husband was able to have the sprayer ready in just a matter of a few minutes.  Included with the sprayer were easy to follow instructions, which led to the quick install.

After discussing the installation with my husband afterwards, the only concern that he had was that some of the connectors, in his opinion, were not of the highest quality and he had concerns that the device would leak onto the floor….but….we have yet to have any issues whatsoever!

The Diaper Sprayer comes complete with all attachments needed to quickly and easily secure on to a standard 3/8 inch compression water valve (valve behind toilet). Each unit comes packaged with a hand sprayer that is protected by Microban®, a flow control t-valve; 4 foot reinforced white NSF Approved PVC hose, built in check valve in sprayer (one way valve), step-by-step picture instructions and a matching wall bracket including screws & plastic anchors. Each unit takes approximately 5-10 minutes to install when using standard adjustable pliers.

I was so excited to begin using the white diaper sprayer to replace my standard way of cleaning my cloth diapers and inserts. The standard way?  Soak in the toilet and then squeeze to rinse out.  It is quite dirty work!

The first time that I used the sprayer, I was surprised at the pressure of the water.  A nice feature of the Diaper Sprayer is that there is a knob midway through the connection from the wall to the toilet that helps regulate the pressure of the water.

The grip of the sprayer is small, but in a good way.  I didn’t feel as if I was holding a sprayer that was meant to water the plants outside!  The handle is ergonomically correct and is easy to manipulate while holding a soiled diaper.

I initially was going to videotape the functionality of the Diaper Sprayer, but I then reconsidered, as I figured that many people wouldn’t want to see a soiled diaper in a video.

Therefore, I took several pictures to illustrate!

Once installed the connection points showed no signs of leaking and a tight seal

The handle of the sprayer and a convenient holster that adheres either to the wall or cabinetry.  The lock is secure, yet easy to remove when needed.

As seen, the handle is small, yet functional.

The pressure of the water can be adjusted to suit the needs of the soiled diaper through a T-style control valve.

Another great feature of The Diaper Sprayer is that once you become an owner of this product, you also are then covered by a one year limited warranty.

My Final Thoughts

All in all, I really liked the Diaper Sprayer and am so grateful that I was selected to review it.  I would caution those who use a diaper sprayer for the first time – make sure that the pressure is not too high, or you will be cleaning water and poop from all around the toilet bowl.  Adjust the pressure first, then clean your diaper.

The Diaper Sprayer is a perfect accessory for those individuals, like myself, who choose to cloth diaper.  I only wish that I would have had one sooner.

Make sure to take a moment to visit The Diaper Sprayer website to view and purchase your own Diaper Sprayer (various styles available) and to see their new line of Puppy Shaped Diaper Sprayers ~ How fun is that?!

The Diaper Sprayer also has a Facebook page as well as Twitter account, so take a moment to follow both in order to keep up with great specials that the company offers!

So what is The Diaper Sprayer generously contributing to our Fluffy Stash package that is now almost $400 in “fluffy” goodness? Your very own Diaper Sprayer, of course (approximately $43)!
